Matt Abell
Attorney, Holland & Hart LLP

Mr. Abell joined Holland & Hart's Intellectual Property Practice Group in 2000. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Abell practiced with a boutique Denver law firm specializing in intellectual property, corporate transactions and international business. He also clerked for the Colorado Supreme Court Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Mr. Abell graduated summa cum laude from Colorado College, and while attending, researched and wrote his philosophical thesis at universities in Germany and Austria.

Since joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Abell's practice has focused on technology transfer and intellectual property prosecution, including proprietary rights licensing, domestic and international copyright and trademark clearance, enforcement and registration, as well as domain name and cyber squatting conflict resolution, trade secret protection and software and multi-media licensing. Mr. Abell's practice also includes opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board.
