Deputy Director, Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA)
Chris joined the Colorado BioScience Association (CBSA) as Marketing and Communications Director in January 2006 and is currently the Deputy Director.
Her duties are focused on developing the CBSA’s program agenda, as well as marketing and communications materials but she is also involved in association management, technology transfer, education and public policy activities.
Prior to joining the CBSA, Chris was the Director of Biosciences and Emerging Technologies at the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, a business development position focusing on the biotech, medical device, nanotechnology and photonics sectors.
Her biotechnology involvement while in the Governor’s office included helping to draft and implement the statewide biotechnology plan, leading the Colorado delegation at BIO, leading the BioWest effort and developing the Bioscience Colorado magazine.
Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Political Science from Grove City College in Western Pennsylvania and during her junior year spent a semester of study in Madrid, Spain.
Chris lives with her husband Evander and daughter Catharine in Denver.
