Jon Weston

Jon Weston is Principal of Weston Bioconsulting, L.L.C., where he provides product development, market research, pricing determination, distributor planning, sales-force creation, branding and promotions to life sciences companies. He also serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for BioCare Systems, Inc. Mr. Weston has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in marketing, sales and general management of biopharmaceuticals, medical devices and international business.

Throughout his career, Mr. Weston has demonstrated continued success in medical product development (from "bench top to bedside"), product and corporate branding, product launches, and in helping companies develop and implement strategies that result in significant sales achievements.

Prior to BioCare Systems, Mr. Weston was Director of Global Marketing for Navigant Biotechnologies, a company focused on developing a process for eliminating viruses and other pathogens from donated blood. He also served several roles at Gambro BCT ranging from business development to marketing.

At Searle Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Weston served as Director of the Arthritis Franchise, leading the worldwide launch of Arthrotecä, a $600 million drug. He was a key contributor on development and commercialization of the $3 billion block-buster Celebrexä arthritis drug.

Weston received a B.A. in molecular, cellular and developmental biology from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver.
